Nahki Wells Is Ready For Game Against Leeds
Speaking a day before the West Yorkshire derby when Huddersfield Town travel to Elland Road looking to record their third straight victory over Leeds United, Nahki Wells said that “big occasions usually bring the best out of me”.
Speaking to htafc.com, the 23 year old Bermudian striker said, “When I played in big, important games for Bradford I did well, which was good because I wasn’t sure how well I would handle the occasion.
“I played against Arsenal, Aston Villa and at Wembley last season and felt like I handled the occasions well. Tomorrow’s game is a big one for Huddersfield Town, but I have played in bigger and I feel that I am capable of rising to it. The big matches bring the best out of me.”
Wells has scored two goals in three games for the Terriers since he was transferred to Huddersfield earlier this month after a run with Bradford City. “The support back home has been fantastic; everyone is a Huddersfield fan!”, Wells said today.
