4th Medal For Bermuda, Perinchief Wins Silver
Bermuda’s CARIFTA medal tally is now up to four, with Jah’Nhai Perinchief winning silver in the high jump this evening [Apr 20] in Martinique.
Perinchief’s medal win follows after yesterday’s medal winning performances by Kyrah Scraders, Sakari Famous and Dage Minors, who claimed three medals for Bermuda during the first day of competition.
Scraders was back in action again today in the 800m, placing second in her heat, qualifying her for tomorrow’s 800m finals.
Bermuda’s David Darrell and Michaiah Robinson were also in action today in the 800m, with Darrell finishing 4th in Heat 1 clocking a time of 2:04.29, while Robinson finished 6th in Heat 2 recording a time of 2:06.76.
Bermuda’s 13-strong team consists of: Tiara DeRosa [Shot Put & Discus], Kyrah Scraders [800m & 1500m], Sakari Famous [High Jump], Azaire Smith [High Jump], Taahira Butterfield [100m & 200m], Kionje Somner [200m & 400m], Daniel Oatley [3000m], Jahnai Perinchief [High Jump & Triple Jump], David Darrell [800m & 1500m], Michaiah Robinson [400m & 800m], Chas Smith [Triple Jump & Long Jump], Dage Minors [1500m & 5000m] and Justin Donawa [Triple Jump].

For such a small team they have done well so far. Not sure why anyone would dislike a comment that encourages our youth – or I will give the benefit of the doubt and say they “mis-clicked”. Smh
