New Executive Director Of Chamber Appointed

Kendaree Burgess 01The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Kendaree Burgess to the position of Executive Director effective 1 May 2014.

Kristi Grayston, President of the Chamber said, “We are pleased to confirm Kendaree to the post of Executive Director.

“Kendaree has the right mix of business experience and education to be an excellent leader for the Chamber and we look forward to working with her permanently.“

Ms Burgess has served as the Chambers Interim Executive Director since February.

She holds an MBA from Webster University, is a founding member of The Centre For Leadership, is on the Development Committee of the Bermuda National Trust, the Marketing Committee of the Bermuda Sloop Foundation and has served in an advisory capacity to many of Bermuda’s leading businesses.

Ms. Burgess replaces Joanne MacPhee who was fired after shouting at Union members during a march in Hamilton on February 2014.

    This is all well and good …congradulations miss burgess….you look forward to working with her permanently?….permanently…and mrs macphee was fired for (raising her voice),at union members…who actually had to be calmed down….this sounds like an appeasement.For a union not to protect macphees job….it became abundantly clear….I’ll say it again….a union protects jobs ….all job…all colors…..biu is not a union….not really….not at all….should hold your head in shame …bullying a woman….your not men if you do that.permanently huh?…..
