September 15, 2014

The Hospitals Auxiliary of Bermuda [HAB] opened its new Gift Shop in the lobby of the new Acute Care Wing today [Sept 15], featuring more space than its previous location and new stock items for sale.

For the first time, the Gift Shop is offering a self-service coffee bar, with a choice of different coffees and teas along with wrapped baked goods. Opening hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday; and 9am to noon on Saturdays.

Although the Gift Shop has moved to the new wing, the Pink Café is remaining in its current location in the General Wing, in the old lobby. The Pink Café is open from 9am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 11:30 am on Saturdays.

HAB President, Liz Titterton comments: “We are so pleased to open the Gift Shop in the new acute care wing in this new and bigger space. We have completely updated our stock and have some exciting new items that will make wonderful gifts, whether for patients, or other loved ones.

Ms. Titterton added, “We warmly invite all visitors to pop by and see us – we are immediately on the right as you walk into the new lobby. It is a first for us to offer self-service coffee and teas and wrapped baked goods in the Gift Shop, but we recognized that people may be in need of refreshments in the new wing.

“Our much loved Pink Café remains in the lobby of the General Wing for anyone who wants to eat something more substantial, or if they want to sit down with their refreshments.”
