17 Year Old Shooting Victim Stable In ICU

The 17-year-old Warwick male who was injured in a shooting in Southampton last night [Sept 22], is listed in in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit, and police are appealing for witnesses who observed two individuals on a motorcycle acting suspiciously in the area to contact them.

The shooting took place outside a Riviera Crescent residence last night at approximately 10.00pm, with emergency personnel rushing to the scene following the shooting.

In a statement today, a police spokesperson said, “At last check, the 17-year-old Warwick male injured in a confirmed firearm incident outside a Riviera Crescent, Southampton residence was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.”

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines speaks to media following the shooting last night:

“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this shooting resulting in injury is ongoing.

“Any witnesses, particularly anyone who may have been in the Riviera Crescent, Southampton area around 10.00pm on Monday, September 22 and observed two individuals on a motorcycle acting suspiciously, should contact the investigating officer Inspector Dave Greenidge at the Serious Crime Unit on telephone number 247-1739 or 247-1185.

“Alternatively, persons with information that can assist in bringing the offender[s] to justice can call the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
