Photos/Videos: St. George’s Santa Claus Parade

[Updated] The Corporation of St. George’s celebrated the Christmas season with the “Santa is Coming to Town” event on Saturday evening [Dec 13] at King Square in St. George’s.

The evening’s entertainment started shortly before 6.00pm, with Patrina ‘Powergirl’ Paynter commandeering some children before outfitting them in Santa hats and performing carols for those gathering on the square.

Places Gombeys got the crowd going as they proceeded down Water Street dancing in the street and made their way outside the Town Hall. Little Miss Paradise Sedona-Sky Duffy performed a solo dance routine before the majorette and dance groups filed in one by one to the crowd’s delight.

There were food vendors and toy stalls set up around the square along with a fun castle for the children, and Santa Claus arrived right on schedule at 8.00pm, with some assistance from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service.
