Photos: 2015 Fairmont To Fairmont Road Race
Hundreds turned out on Sunday morning [Jan 11] to take part in the 2015 Fairmont to Fairmont Road Race that saw juniors starting at 8.30am from Heron Bay along with walkers starting at Hamilton Princess.
The runners left the Hamilton hotel location at 9am with eventual winner Bryan Huberty, and Jay Donawa leading the group and staying neck in neck with each other throughout the route.

Huberty crossed the line in a time of 39:58, with Jay Donawa finishing second in 40:21. Rose-Anna Hoey was the first female finisher and 6th across the line in a time of 45:31 while Jayden Ming won the junior race crossing the line in a time of 8:51. Lynsey Palmer was the first Junior female finisher clocking a time of 9:42. Complete race results can be found here.
The race took runners on a 7.2 mile course between the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and Fairmont Southampton and is considered the beginning of the running year, attracting competitors from across the globe.
