17 Year Old Denies Assaulting Stepfather, Police

March 9, 2015

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Mar 9], a 17-year-old denied multiple counts including assaulting his step-father, assaulting a police officer, violently resisting arrest, and using offensive words.

All the allegations against Oliver Rodriguez-Ramos stem from an alleged incident in Pembroke on 7th March 2015.

The charges alleged that the teenager told police: “F**** the police. … I’m part of Parkside. … I’m going to get you. … You’re not the only ones with guns. … You know what we do to police in DR.”

Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe set trial for late May. The Magistrate granted bail of $2,500 with one surety, ordered a curfew and that he must report to Hamilton Police Station twice a week.
