    Nice

  3. Terry says:

    Like.

    big whoopty doo about nothing…..

    • 32n64w says:

Your comment is disrespectful towards the thousands of Bermudians who have served in the Royal Bermuda Regiment over the last fifty years.

      • Jr Smith says:

50 years??? what about the evils they did for the past 300 years? what about the millions of people world wide that have suffered from the hands of the saxe-coburg and gotha house, aka Winsdor family, aka the royal house of the uk. Besides how much is this song and dance costing us. Tired of the whole show, its the modern age MONARCHY is dead…..

        • dead like the brain cells you have, go back even further if you dare lets say 1 BC or further to beginning of man. it hasn’t been perfect from then and I doubt it ever will. Wether you have a Royal Head of State, Elected,Self Imposed, or Party Leader, they all have inherent problems. You can learn from the past but not change it.

          • Jr Smith says:

“The monarchy is finished. It was finished a while ago, but they’re still making the corpses dance.”
            ― Sue Townsend

            • Don’t think so as, far as I know their are lots of Monarcy’s around, even in the Middle East, Europe,Africa and more, so not dead I guess.

            • Zevon says:

Sue Townsend said that in 1992. Turns out she was wrong, doesn’t it.

  5. NO MORE WAR says:

The only thing that I am curious about is whether this lady is afforded the same respect back home. I noticed she did not have to clear customs despite coming on a regular flight. When she returns to England does she bypass customs there as well?

    • Anbu says:

Pretty sure if she enjoys diplomatic immunity then yes she can bypass customs. Same as obama or any other country’s head of state

    • Terry says:

      Of course not silly.
      “NO MORE WAR”.
No more custom. Diplomats are pre-screened and don’t bring in guns and drugs. They may use them but that’s another thread.

President Barak Obama has to go through security/customs/metal detectors et al all the time.

      Poor fella.
      Shalom.

    • Hmmm says:

YES, she is most definitely afforded those same courtesies back home. She is a highly respected member of the royal family who performs many duties on behalf of the Queen. Why does she need to clear Customs? Seriously, what is she going to do? Like someone else mentioned, she is sure to have a diplomatic passport and immunity. Nonetheless, she has to watch her p’s and q’s much more than the average person and would not do anything stupid or criminal to embarrass the Queen or the Royal Family.

BTW, is it me or did our Premier not bow? Whatever his personal views, he is serving the Queen and knows the protocol on this. If that was Ewart, he’d be shredded to pieces.

      • Hmmm says:

Yup-watched again and no bow nor did the female curtsy…. she should have. No way would any PLP-er get away with this. Hypocrites.

        • Tuck says:

I noticed as well. The women are supposed to curtsy. Men to bow. Why didn’t they just follow the Govenor and his wife’s lead for pete’s sake!

          When you don’t know, you don’t know…smh

      • Hmmm says:

I must add that the motorcade was a bit over the top, though, for such a low-key visit. She would not get that type of treatment back home-probably just one personal royal protection officer at most times. On official duties, maybe two riding in a vehicle behind her but no, not this degree but I guess Bermuda was putting its best foot forward…and people probably took advantage of a reduced police presence elsewhere.

BERMUDA…the 21st Century “Jewel in the Crown”!

  7. overboardhope says:

    Very exciting times for Bermuda.

  8. Jr Smith says:

bermuda bends over backwards for the royals. we dont need them.

  9. Andrew says:

If you the people are so unwelcoming to a royal visit then why don’t you vote for indipendence? It would seem you’d prefer to go it alone! It’s a shame age we live in that no one is prepared to embrace the monarchy and what it is to be Bristish, perhaps the people of Bermuda would be happier as a single entity with their own voice in the world rather than being represented by a larger one…….

  10. JUNK YARD DOG says:

All they care about is them selves.

  11. Rita Realistic says:

How about you moaners all give up your British passports then?! Not happy unless you’re bitching.
