I guess I would fall into the “wider” group. I hope it goes well, I will be at home with my family at that time of day.

  2. Coffee says:

Won’t be long now until the youth get involved .

Someone must tell the country what to do in order for us to get out of this mess. Our running deficit is $220 million each year. It is killing us. We must draw up a plan to eliminate it at once . We must raise $94 million from cuts in government wages (civil servants), $ 70 million from new taxes of professional services (lawyers and accountants), and $56 million from cuts in government services. Let’s have a real conversation about this. Please raise these issues to Mr. Cordell Riley , Mr. Burchall, or the Premier. Than again, WHOSE LISTENING ???

    • Zevon says:

You already know the PLP “answers”.
Get rif of the nasty foreigners, it’s all their fault.
spend more because anything else is “austerity”.
don’t reduce the size of the public employee workforce, because that’s “austerity”.
Lots of promises about how things will all be better ten years from now. No detail, just vague promises about about 2025.
Lots complaints about how the current government hasn’t fixed things already, instantly.
Mention marijuana. Take credit for making the regiment voluntary. Mention seabed mining.
Oh, and get rid of the nasty foreigners, as it’s all their fault.
      That’s basically it.

    • Not interested says:

Well these fools would be the last ones who I would listen to for credible suggestions!

  4. huh says:

More talk and no action or accountability from the Power Loving Party. They remind me of the US Tea Party, still no comments from them on the Irritated Genie..

  5. impressive. says:

    The hate is real..

  6. Sara says:

Wonder if anyone has ever stood up and said “WHY did you spend so much damn money during your tenure”?

  7. ALVIN WILLIAMS says:

WITHDRAW SOME OF THOSE TAX BREAKS GIVEN TO THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY WOULD GO A LONG WAY IN ADRESSING BERMUDA’S BUDGET DEFICITS; BUT THAN THEY ARE CONSIDER TO BE AT THE TOP OF BERMUDA’S PECKING ORDER WHILE THE REST OF US WELL IT IS EXPECTED THAT WE KEEP ON PAYING.

  8. Just a matter of time says:

The PLP does not compare or resemble the Tea Party in any way shape or form. If I dare try to explain it which will involve mentioning the fearful topic of race in any way shape or form, my post will not get posted.

    • serengeti says:

The PLP is quite a lot like Bermuda’s Tea Party. It’s a right wing nationalist anti-foreigner party. Being anti-foreigner is about the only thing the PLP stands for these days. Oh, and anti-gay. There is that as well.

      • Coffee says:

No truth to any of the drivel you’ve posted . However , the other party have lied (referendum ),cheated , deceived , and basically hoodwinked most Bermudians … And that’s just to gain power , we’ll not begin to talk about the behavior after gaining the government .
Can’t wait ’till Thad Hollis decides to speak !
