Photos & Results: Premier, First Division Football

[Updated with photos] North Village Rams, Southampton Rangers, X-Roads, Robin Hood, Devonshire Colts, Vasco, Wolves, and St. George’s Colts all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 0 North Village Rams 4

At the Devonshire Recreation Club the North Village Rams made the short five minute journey east to defeat the Devonshire Cougars 4 – 0.

After a scoreless first half the North Village Rams finally broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when substitute Justin Bell scored after a good build up from the North Village Rams.

Three minutes later the Devonshire Cougars were reduced to ten men when Zeko White received a straight red card for a late tackle. The North Village Rams capitalized on the advantage three minutes later when Keishen Bean scored.

Bell made it 3 – 0 in the 79th minute and then bean would add his second of the game in the 83rd minute to earn the visitors the three points.

Premier: Boulevard 0 Southampton Rangers 1

After a scoreless first half, Travis Wilkinson scored the lone goal of this game in the 81st minute to give visitors Southampton Rangers a 1 – 0 win over the Boulevard Blazers.


Premier: X-Roads 4 PHC Zebras 2

Four days after being defeated 6-1, X-Roads turned the tables on the PHC Zebras and defeated them 3 – 2 at the Garrison Field.

X-Roads got 2 goals from Tyrell Burgess and single strikes from Paul Simmons and Tymon Daniels, while the PHC Zebras got a goal from Cecoy Robinson and an own goal.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 0 Robin Hood 1

A second half strike from Lejuan Simmons in the 73rd minute gave Robin Hood the 1 – 0 win over the Dandy Town Hornets at the St. John’s Field.

Premier: Somerset Trojans 1 Somerset Eagles 1

At the Somerset Cricket Club the west end rivalry ended deadlocked at 1 – 1. Teniko Eve gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 22nd minute, but Keith Jennings would equalize for the Somerset Trojans in the 72nd minute.

First: Flanagan’s Onions 0 Devonshire Colts 4

At the BAA Field, Devonshire Colts defeated the Flanagan’s Onions 4 – 0.

The Devonshire Colts got two goals from Senoj Mitchell and single strikes from Diego Richardson and Jan-Hendrik Hein.

First: Young Men Social Club 0 Vasco 1

At the Bernard’s Park, a lone strike in the third minute of injury time from Vasco’s Ricardo Ponte earned them a hard fought 1 – 0 win over Young Men Social Club.

First: Hamilton Parish 0 Wolves 4

At the Wellington Oval, Wolves got two goals from Kyle Brangman and single strikes from Mikael Ming and Tyree Robinson as they defeated Hamilton Parish 4 – 0.

First: Ireland Rangers 0 St. George’s Colts 5

The St. George’s Colts travelled to Malabar and defeated Ireland Rangers 5 – 0. St. George’s Colts got two goals from Tre McCallan and single strikes from Damon Darrell, Sage Paynter and Caylon Wade.
