Police: ‘No Evidence Found To Support Claims’

Noting that they have received calls from the public about a “purported firearms incident in the St. John’s Road area of Pembroke following social media posts that such an incident occurred,” the police said that checks “found no evidence to support these claims.”

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service has received a number of calls from members of the public about a purported firearms incident in the St. John’s Road area of Pembroke following social media posts that such an incident occurred.

“Checks by officers have found no evidence to support these claims.

“However, the BPS will carry out passing patrols of the general area.

“The public is reminded that anyone with any information regarding criminal activity, should call the main police number on 295-0011 or the Confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.”
