Marine Police Respond to Capsized Boat

marine policeLast week the Marine Police were called out after a concerned member of the public reported a small sail boat capsized in the vicinity of Two Rock Passage, the entrance to Hamilton Harbour.

Bermuda Radio issued an ‘urgency broadcast’ and the Police Marine Branch were tasked to assist.

Numerous craft quickly responded to the broadcast, and all five people on the sail boat ‘Sea Pony’ were found safe and secure.

The sail boat was bailed out with pumps from Marine Police launch ‘Rescue 1’ and taken in tow.
