I would think this incident would be serious enough to be reported by someone to the police FIRST rather than to take the time out to text it to someone. Had i gotten this message I’d then rush to Facebook/Bernews/RG to verify before forwarding it. When someone sends me a chain text (usually asking me if i love Jesus, to pass it on to ten of my friends or face eternity in hell), I just delete it (I’ll be going to hell for reasons other than not forwarding a text). Bermudians have to stop the gossiping and assumptions or learn to check RELIABLE sources before the island is thrown into chaos over a joke or misinformation (remember the tidal wave!?!? Lol!!!).

I so agree. And firstly, I don’t forward anything before doing the background check.

I got the exact msg mentioned below and the sad part is that it contains the make, color of car. Also the color of the tint on windows and licence plate number. If you can go to this great length to have all this information than surely the police would have been informed. Sounds to me like someone is being malicious towards someone!

  3. ACT LIKE YOU KNOW says:

I heard this is true by a good source…..Sounds like a cover up to me.

  4. itwasn't me says:

I hope the story can be authenticated. The alternative is that someone’s reputation is ruined. Idiots passing on juicy gossip can cause bad things to happen to an innocent person through mistaken identity or a simple misunderstanding, or just plain stupidity of the herd mentality.

      Déjà vu.
I recall a few years ago this same thing happened.
A fake kidnapping warning/alert message going around Bermuda.
      What goes around, comes around.

  5. brain washed says:

No …….this guy ive seen him he is a waste of life and breath and as for the message its not fake and the police were contacted but as we know our police are so stupid the couldnt catch a cup of warter in a lake they are more concern about 10 year old parking tickets

      Um what?

    • Laughable says:

That’s fine you text someone instead of calling the police if you are ever in serious trouble. See how far that gets you.

  6. WOW says:

So I guess when something like this does happen it may not be taken seriously even if the person reporting it does go to the police. Please be careful of what you send out……
