Of course a relief ferry was unavailable… there are none, they are all broke LOL

On a serious note, marine and ports better get their act together for the summer season.

  2. Triangle Drifter says:

You can’t give the skippers boats that are easier to run & they still keep smashing them into docks.

Should send these guys back to the 1930s when the ferrys were wooden, steam powered & single engined. That is when it took skill to handle a boat.

  3. Boston Baked Bean says:

I’m a daily commuter on the Cavello Bay ferry and I think it’s about time that people start filing complaints. There are far too many incidents of pilots slamming into the docks and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured. Some (not all) of these pilots need a refresher course in piloting and I’m certain that Marine & Ports knows who they are.

Ferry boat docking is to slam in into the dock. The drivers have no respect for the boats.

  5. Red says:

I truly understand the notion of docking any vessel in foul weather, me being a seafarer myself. The thing that I don’t understand is why the Marine & Ports Dept. doesn’t practice random drug testing.

It’s a part of public transportation policy…Hey what do I know, I’m just a “sea dog”.
