Video: Hundreds Turn Out For Palm Sunday Walk
Hundreds of people made their way to Elliot Primary School this afternoon [Mar 24] for the Bermuda National Trust’s Palm Sunday Walk. The walkers set out on the 5 mile walk, which is scheduled to take participants through various parks of Devonshire.
“As with previous walks, the route will take participants to places that the public rarely get to explore and a map will highlight some points of cultural interest along the way,” a spokesperson said before the walk.
“This year’s walk will travel through Bermuda’s largest marsh, beside arable land that has been farmed for centuries and along Devonshire’s wild and visually stunning southern coast. Walkers will see familiar views from new vantage points and discover hidden treasures of Devonshire’s nature reserves, woodlands and farmlands.
I had a great walk through parts of Devonshire I have never seen before. Thanks to the organisers of today’s Palm Sunday walk.
wonderful walk! Thank you to all organisers and sponsors! very well done!!
It’d been absolutey fantastic! There ere so many places hidden from the publics view that are just breath taking,(without the litter at various spots)The trash, i.e. throwing bottles garbage bags/cans are something done by our own kind and need not be. There should be a deposit on cans and bottles for starters plus a, “reward” of 10cent per bottle/can that are returned to a depot…
Bda.National Trust please continue hold walks and maybe hand out small plastic bags to those of us that are willing to pick-up waste along the walk
