4.7kg more plant material seized than highly addictive & extremely damaging chemical substances. The crack, heroin & ecstasy dealers & users must love you bps & customs.

So the argument for rights for homosexuals is that it’s been going on since the beginning of time, it doesn’t affect anyone else not involved & its a humans right of preference to do whatever they want with their own body.

Since the same arguments can apply to cannabis user I wonder why there’s not as much support for their rights as for gays. Cannabis use has a few more points over homosexuality like it’s extremely less likely to catch or spread stds through cannabis use, without a shadow of a doubt cannabis is natural & there is not one reference in the bible that a church goer can use against cannabis but there are some that can support the use of cannabis.

good job getting all of that dangerous pot!

gotta hand it to the BPS, they really have their priorities in check!

lets get all of that evil grass.

      Yup!

In the words of the first drug czar who’s antiquated prohibition laws are still enforced in Bermuda law today, “Colored students at the University of Minnesota partying with white female students, smoking marijuana and getting their sympathy with stories of racial persecution. Result: pregnancy” – Henry Anslinger

Here’s another quote from another witty drug czar, “Marijuana leads to homosexuality, the breakdown of the immune system, and therefore to AIDS.” – Carlton Turner White House Drug Czar under Ronald Reagan.

If our laws don’t change soon a drug trial here will start looking like a St. Georges ducking stool reenactment to the rest of the forwardly developed societies in the world.

“They used to burn witches. Today we laugh at them. Today we jail people for marijuana. Tomorrow they’ll laugh at us.” – Robert Rowbotham

Job well done goes to HM Bermuda Customs without which the BPS would have nothing

This is an opportunity to capitalize the potential of raising capital for the country. Decriminalize and create a system. Purchasing alcohol is more dangerous and totally legal to purchase, however there are more cases of drunk driving and putting oneself and others at risk. Imagine how tourism will increase if change is made regarding “weed”?

    • Tommy Chong says:

      Sure would!

Netherlands makes close to 2 billion euros in weed tourism a year. Maastricht lost 26 million euros equivalent to the loss of 345 full-time jobs because of the christian democrat party’s decision to ban tourist from cannabis cafés. Luckily for Netherlands the the mayor of Amsterdam had enough nads to tell the christian democrats to go shove it & other areas of Holland followed suit. The ironic thing is that on average there are less teens who use drugs in Netherlands than this tiny island & less drug related crimes.

How much did we spend to secure this amount of drugs? Does it really have any affect on supply ie is it worth it?
