Miss Bermuda To Set Off For Miss World
Miss Bermuda Katherine Arnfield will be leaving for Indonesia this evening [Aug 30] where she will represent Bermuda in the 2013 Miss World Competition.
The Saltus Grammar Student was crowned the 2013 Miss Bermuda on June 23 beating out six other competitors for the title.
The international pageant is scheduled to have representatives from over 100 nations take part, with the finals taking place on September 28th.
The contestants will take part in a number of ‘Challenge Events’ during September; including Beach Fashion, Beauty with a Purpose, Top Model, World Fashion Designer Award, Talent Competition, and Sports and Fitness.
The organizers revealed in June that the bikini round was being axed for the pageant in Indonesia in a bid to avoid causing offence in the Muslim-majority country, and contestants would instead wear Balinese sarongs.
You can view photos of all the contestants here on the Miss World website.
