Adam King Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter
Adam Leroy King appeared in the Supreme Court Monthly Arraignment Session this morning [Sept 3] where he pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Verneil Richardson.
Mr Richardson, 21, was fatally stabbed at approximately 1am on June 26, 2013 in the parking lot of the Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club. Mr King turned himself in later that day, and has been in custody since that time.
Mr King denied a charge of murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at a later date.

He didn’t own up. He copped a plea for manslaughter. He got off light.

If you act in self defense, you’re completely innocent of any crime. He isn’t saying he’s innocent.
at least he MANNED UP saving the victims family the agony of a trial!!
From what I know, it sounds like it would have been very hard for the prosecution to show it was pre-meditated so I think this is a genuine guilty plea that deserves some credit. I hope he continues to find ways to redeem himself

manslaughter? i don’t believe that was an accidental death. Or did Mr. Richardson walk into this guy’s knife a few times? Seriously, book his guilty self and send him away.

Manslaughter?!! He should get 25 yrs for manslaughter. Now who is gonna b the male role model in his daughters life, the Judge?
If the prosecution felt like that had a strong enough case for murder they would have never let him plead to a lesser charge….so think about it!
