May 12, 2014

william grange missing in bermudaCambridge Beaches Resort & Spa said they wish to advise the public that they will be holding continued searches for Mr. William Grange daily this week at 6:00pm from Monday through Saturday.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Reception Desk by 6:00pm.

A spokesperson added, “Also a reminder for everyone, regardless of parish, to thoroughly search their own property including sheds, gardens, etc.

“And also a heartfelt thanks to everyone in the community for their continued support and efforts. It is sincerely appreciated by all involved.”

Mr. Grange — who suffers from short term memory loss — arrived in Bermuda from Napanee, Canada earlier this month and has not been seen since approximately 10.00pm on the evening of Friday, May 2nd.

The 67 year old came for a 10-day vacation with his wife, and was staying at the Cambridge Beaches Resort in Sandys. His son John Grange said that the family thinks his father may have went for a walk and become confused, and kept on walking.

Extensive island-wide searches over the past week which have included the Police, Bermuda Regiment, Marine Police, Police K-9 Unit, Regimental Boat Troop, Junior Leaders, as well as volunteer divers and members of the community have failed to locate the Canadian visitor.

In addition to the extensive efforts by Police and wide community support over this past week, a “Find William Grange” Facebook page was launched on May 8th, which includes an interactive search map being updated by members of the page.

I fear this man has gone overboard.

      nuffin but the truth,

I’ve said the same thing. However, sometimes I wonder if he is yachting asea. I suppose I watch too many true stories based upon mysterious disappearances–where supposedly missing persons were not really missing at all. Wouldn’t it be something if this is the case in this case?

If the BPS haven’t already done so, I strongly feel that it should place the Granges under the microscope or strap them to the lie detector chair.

Maybe he hopped on a plane and went home?

This is hard to believe. Praying that he will be found and for his family as they wait for his return.
