The U-20 picked up its fourth goal in the 85th minute, an own goal, off of a corner kick that ricocheted off the right upright then hit a Bermuda defender and ended up in the back of the net.
Bermuda had its first shot on goal in the 74th minute when Zaire Burchall got behind the U.S. defense and forced U.S. keeper Zack Steffen to come off his line to deflect the shot, which the U.S. defense then booted out of bounds for a Bermuda corner kick.

We’re lucky it wasn’t 8-0, but nice go, defenders have to mark goal side and TIGHT.
Don’t be upset guys, they have a much larger pool of talent to choose from and they play against that talent all the time. You all would flourish in a larger environment – we know that. I am proud of you. Enjoy the challenge to it’s fullest for you will only get stronger.
I my eyes, you’re all winners in-spite of this recent defeat. Remember, “one is not a failure when one tries and fails; one becomes a failure when they fail to try” You all tried
Well done Team!! Proud of you!!
Am I the only one that sees this………….. BFA need to do more. I suggest a complete revamp of our football program from the ground. We need to focus on the children around 5 years old and train them up right instead of letting them fall into the way we do things now, it will only produce the same results if we train them up in the old way. Loads of other countries have done it to further their footbal programs, why can’t we do it?
Another thing, we need to pay the head coaches more in order to attract REAL professional coaches to train our bies on this rock. Remember Zies (I think thats how it is spelled)??? That was the best football Bermuda has ever played in 400 years to date!!!!!! And I have to be honest here, our local coaches are not good enough to compete at this level of football. Harsh reality! They only played at a mediocre level and thus are teaching at a mediocre level. Truth is truth and we all need to recognize it, otherwise expect the same results as above for another 400 years!!
Just my opinion, feel free to diss away!
I agree with LOLOLOL there needs to be more put on the youngsters coming up, we have a load of young players out there that are constantly over looked for what ever reasons, the BFA needs to take a better approach towards these youngsters rather than choose players that are either related to a coach or that the tech. director favors, we fans out here see it happening far to often, give you an example…… This past year The Tech. Director had a pool of players at the training sessions for the 2001 and 2002 youngsters to try out for the Academy team at least 8 of the players …. Great players I may add came from one club, he put it to the parents to choose weither their child will play for their club or the Academy, Why? That’s the type of stuff that will have a youngster feel that he ain’t good enough to play for a National team so they may not show up for try outs and that filters through to their teens, then onto their 20′s. So yes we must be proud of our young players they indeed tried hard and I will be at the airport to welcome them home, but the BFA may have to have try outs for their Tech.Directors and coaches in the future, A team is only as good as the coaching staff and it won’t be 400 years til we get it right, those 2002 babies will do it for us……..Bermuda, watch and see……………….
