SanShou Fighters Ready For Costa Rica
The Bermuda SanShou Association’s seven fighters, each getting set to attend the 10th Pan American Wushu Championships in Costa Rica, have completed their final training session.
The Bermuda men’s team consists of Samir Furqan, Sentwali Woolridge, Khalid Pitcher, Reyel Bowen, Jermal Woolridge, and Garon Wilkinson, while Talia Iris is the lone female competitor.
The 10th Pan American Wushu Championships [PAWC2014] is organized by the Arts Center East, with assistance from the International Institute ON of Martial Arts Traditional Chinese, Wushu Sports Association, Sports Association Kung Fu, and the Wushu Kung Fu Federation.
Support of the event is given by the Costa Rican Institute of Sport, the Ministry of Sports, Ministry of Culture and Youth, along with the approval of the Presidency of the Republic and the permission and sponsorship of the Pan American Wushu Federation [PAWF] of the International Wushu Federation [IWUF].
