26 Year Old Denies Burglary & Firearm Charges

December 1, 2014

Appearing in the Supreme Court Monthly Arraignments session today [Dec 1], Josef Smith, 26, pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary, using a firearm, and discharging a firearm during the course of an alleged home invasion on North Shore on 14 March 2014.

Justice Carlyle Greaves set trial for the 26-year-old in April 2015, and also agreed that Smith should reappear before that to face an application by the Crown to have his case joined with that of Umdae Woolridge and Taariq Clarke who are facing similar charges stemming from the same alleged incident.

The defendant was remanded in custody.
