Wth think of others now ya hurt a child very immature u want 2 drive fast go hit up nas car

  2. Kangoocar says:

Another idiot doing their part to keep our auto insurance rates high!!! I only hope the those innocent drivers that were hit are OK!!!!

  3. Seascape says:

We heard a loud bang and figured that it had to be an accident nearby. People need to slow down and drive with care. Hope everyone is ok and no major injuries.

  4. WYSIWYG says:

Please… Slow down people. Children now involved

  5. Bill says:

I dont know what happened in this situation. Although every time i drive on the roads noadays i see between 5 to 10 potential near miss accidents. Peoples careless driving behaviors need to stop. Overtaking and nipping between vehicles expecting the on coming car to “get out of your way”. Over taking to then turn 100 ft later just to “get ahead”. Pulling right out in front of on coming traffic, not using your indicators, running red lights, parking on pedestrian crossings to use the atm (somerset village) double parking down super market on front street. What is it going to take? Speed cameras, more speed bumps, higher insurance premiums cause everyone is mashing up their cars and bikes (and helping the airport dump get bigger). Or even better how bout take your time and be ******** considerate to others the simplest way!!!

    • Squirt says:

What about the police hang out at KFC, Seahorses and ticket these wannabees for parking their bikes were cars belong EVERY 15 MINS. its a pain in the butt and causes a mess because some folks like me will sit there hold up traffic and will not move until idiot and bike be gone. Then they look at you like what you waiting for. Me !! Duhhhh

  6. Peace says:

Remember E = (1/2)*m*v^2. Double the speed means four times the hurt, not two.

    - People overtaking around 90 degree blind corners.
    - People driving on the wrong side of the road around a blind corner, for no particular reason.
    - People not stopping when an emergency vehicle is coming with it’s siren on.
    - People using the opportunity to overtake when emergency vehicle is coming.
    - People running a red light because they know it just went red, and no cops around.
    - People pulling out because they think the other person has enough time to slam on breaks, even when it is raining and there is likely oil on the road.
    - People overtaking someone that is indicating to turn.
    - People overtaking when a car is being let out, and the car can’t see them.
    - Driving drunk.

      @PEACE

Thank you for your interesting comments may I add one more.

King of the road inferiority complex.

      • expat point of view says:

Bikes without headlights on…yes, in broad daylight…use your HIGHBEAMS to BE SEEN! Can only help. Dim high beam appropriately at night.

    • Billy Mays says:

The local custom of letting cars out from side roads is lovely and polite but entirely unsafe and should be ended. There is a very specific reason that the main lane of traffic should always have right of way, and to stop a line of traffic to let someone merge from a side road is unsafe to all involved. Just let the traffic flow, and the driver from the side road will merge safely and easily.

Take the Driver’s License away for LIFE!

  8. Hurricane says:

Why do I immediately think of that ridiculous photo op the police carried out during rush hour traffic a couple weeks back. Haven’t heard from or seen them since………….SMH

    • PBanks says:

Well there’s that successful hashtag campaign that’s trending everywhere… oh wait

      • DONT HATE says:

seems like the hashtag was still successful if your still talking about it! The Police are trying to do something new… Can’t say that much for you!

        • PBanks says:

LOL. So who else is mentioning the hashtag?

Fact is this is the extent of the Police’s strategy since early January. Meanwhile, people keep getting into collisions. If you wish to defend the Police’s actions since then, you’re welcome to it.

Go ahead. Look up the hashtags on twitter, for instance. See how many times they were mentioned by the public.

Have you observed the driving habits of Bermudians since the ‘campaign’ was launched? Do you honestly think that driving habits have improved since then?

  9. Alison says:

They think they look so cool, even though their driving abilities are pathetic. If they were only going to injure themselves is one thing, but now look whats happened, innocents upholding the driving laws have been hurt and had their vehicles damaged.

  10. who knows says:

If you only knew what really happened you wouldn’t be bashing the driver

    • Oh no says:

Hope the driver is ok soon as well as the others involved.

    • Tell it like it is says:

So are you going to enlighten us? Because I know what happened too, and to hit two cars who had a big stopping distance between them, and crashing down the road sideways across both lanes whilst going uphill (i.e. at great speed)….yeah I would love to know the reason for this one. That said…I don’t know the driver of the car, and so I hope that there really is a good reason, and that they are ok, not to mention their young child.

    • Micro says:

So what happen? Cuts the corner at high speed (like everybody readily does on that bend in both directions – cars, trucks, bikes, buses), sees the first car too late and couldn’t get back on their side in time?

      Thats most likely what happened.

    • Franklin Jr says:

okay then elaborate instead of being a holier than thou “tuesday”

      • C James says:

It wasn’t the driver’s fault. He probably forgot where the brake pedal was – hasn’t that ever happened to you? There was no sign saying “The brake pedal is on the left” so he probably pressed the right one. Could happen to anyone.

Terrible design – those cars are awful. Dangerous.

  11. Oh no says:

So sad to hear about this accident and all those that were involved. Hope you all get better soon.

  12. C James says:

Everyone knows that those Zig Zag lines mean “Go Faster”.

  13. Holy Moly says:

Unfortunately an ongoing problem! The mentality and mindset on our roads is pathetic – the scary part is that we could be driving along minding our business when these wannabe race car drivers slam into us! Come on people, get a grip and slow down.

  14. Charlly X says:

What was he thinking ? There’s obviously something more to this incident than we know ! But the results were horrific !! My heart and prayers goes out to this family !
These pictures of the carnage should be put on TV , billboards wherever needed to remind people to slow down !!!!!!,!!! It could have been a lot worse if…..

  15. JUNK YARD DOG says:

Tailgating, is the deliberate intent to intimidate the lead driver.

While I am being tailgated and ” PUSHED ” TO DRIVE FASTER ,I turn on my flashers to give WARNING, if they persist i repeat the warning.
They soon realize that I am aware of the situation.

Drive defensively ! ” You could be DEAD right”.

  16. Billy Mays says:

I’m curious if the minor that was injured was in a car seat or just rattling around as is usually the case here. Parents who can’t be asked to put their kids in a car seat should lose their licenses until the kids are old enough to be out of a car seat.
