May 12, 2015

Saturday, May 23rd will mark the Grand Opening of the Uptown Market, which will be held in the parking lot of Jamaican Grill on Court Street. The Market is the brainchild of Economic Development Officer, Roxanne Christopher and Business owner Marcia Stowe.

The Market is opening the wake of the new impending Vendor Legislation which if approved will require all vendors/peddlers to sell their goods in a registered market.

The Uptown Market will provide an opportunity for Business Owners/Vendors with Peddlers licenses to sell their products and interact with residents and the community at large in a positive family setting to enjoy food, fun and local entertainment.
