Photos: New ‘Uptown Market’ Gets Underway
Today [May 23] marked the Grand Opening of the Uptown Market on Court Street, with vendors offering a variety of items including clothes, jewellery, hair accessories, handbags and more.
“The Uptown Market will provide an opportunity for Business Owners/Vendors with Peddlers licenses to sell their products and interact with residents and the community at large in a positive family setting to enjoy food, fun and local entertainment,” the BEDC previously said.
Roxanne Christopher, BEDC Economic Development Officer for N.E. Hamilton, stated “The Uptown Market is a wonderful opportunity for small business owners to sell their wares in a community environment. Markets showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of Bermudians in its truest form.”
The Market will be held every Saturday from 11am – 4pm, and for more information or to register as a Vendor contact Ms. Christopher at info@bedc.bm or call 292-5570.
They keep trying and they keep failing. They don’t listen to what is necessary to really develop entrepreneurs. We need $20,000 grants so they can be in real stores and shine. Next year. this time. it will be small like the Rubber Tree and to prove it, where is the one in Somerset that was badly located somewhere. Sorry to be so negative but the facts are the facts and the OBA reps should be ashamed of themselves of following this folly.
