City Arts Festival Postponed Due To Weather

Due to inclement weather this morning and the forecast of scattered showers throughout the day and into the evening, the City of Hamilton wishes to advise the public that the City Arts Festival will be postponed to the rain date of Sunday November 20th, 2016 at Queen Elizabeth Park from 2pm – 8pm. The event will contain all the same excitement as planned on this new date.

“The annual City Arts Festival takes on a new and edgy approach in 2016 with an amazing line up, combining international and local musicians and performers, promising a first class extravaganza,” a spokesperson said.

“Imagine this, visual artists, performance art, spoken word, live musical performances, street and public art – the City Arts Festival is open to creative minds of all descriptions.

“Art vendors, fire performances, kids craft area, art installations, food vendors and live entertainment will all be a part of this celebration of the arts in our community. This event promises to be an afternoon of fun, family-focus and something new in the City.

“Bermuda’s own Mishka and Devaune Ratteray add an international flair to the line-up and activities planned for the day as they return home to be a part of this artistic extravaganza. Other featured performances to look forward to include, The Big Chill, The Simons Brother’s Band, Trioka, DanceSations, Jacksons School of Dance, with a finale presentation by Rock Fire Productions.

“Entry for children under 18 and seniors is free and the fee for adults is $20.00. Tickets are available online at www.bdatix.bm or from City Hall Offices. “Also the City and the BEDC would like to inform the public that the Uptown Karaoke Competition scheduled to take place in North East Hamilton has been postponed to next week Saturday November 26th, 2016, however the Uptown Bar Hop will continue as planned tonight.”
