Photos & Results: Football Premier, First Division

Young Men Social Club, X-Roads, Southampton Rangers, St. David’s, PHC Zebras, Boulevard Blazers, and North Village Rams all walked away with wins in recent Premier and First Division football action.

First: Young Men Social Club 4 BAA 3

At the PHC Stadium, Young Men Social Club held off a fightback from BAA to take all three points with a 4 – 3 victory. BAA went ahead in the 11th minute when Jahkari Furbert, but Clay Darrell equalized for Young Men Social Club four minutes later converting from the penalty spot.

Raymond Burgess would give Young Men Social Club the lead in the 24th and then two minutes later Darrell scored his second goal of the game, but Furbert would pull BA within one with his second goal of the game in the 28th minute. Darrell completed his hat-trick scoring in the 48th, but Tyrell Burgess would pull BAA within one once again when he scored from close range in the 83rd minute, but BAA could not find the equalizer.

First: X-Roads 1 St. George’s Colts 0

A 4th minute goal from Tymon Daniels earned X-Roads a 1 – 0 win over the visiting St. George’s Colts at the Garrison Field.

First: Ireland Rangers 0 Southampton Rangers 2

After a scoreless first half the Southampton Rangers got two goals from Ezekiel Stoneham in the 83rd and 84th minutes as they defeated Ireland Rangers 2 – 0 at Malabar.

First: Paget Lions 0 Wolves 0

At the Southampton Oval, the Paget Lions and visiting Wolves played to a scoreless draw.

First: Hamilton Parish 1 St. David’s 2

At the Wellington Oval, St. David’s defeated Hamilton Parish 2 – 1, St. David’s got goals from Kontaief Burton and Marcus Proctor, while Tareek Webb scored for Hamilton Parish.

Premier: PHC Zebras 4 Devonshire Colts 1

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras came away with a 4 – 1 wn over visiting Devonshire Colts. Cecoy Robinson got things going in the 10th minute when his long range shot beat a stranded Devonshire Colts goalkeeper who was off his line. Robinson would then double the lead in the 24th minute converting from the penalty spot after Marco Warren was brought down in the box. Rakeem DeShields would then make it 3 – 0 when he scored in the 37th minute. Kyle Jones would pull a goal back for the Devonshire Colts in the 59th minute, but Tre Ming found the back of the net for the PHC Zebras in the 79th minute converting from the penalty spot to earn the win.

Premier: Somerset Eagles 1 Somerset Trojans 1

At the White Hill Field, Rashaun Seaman gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 17th, but Jonathan Bean would equalize for the Somerset Trojans in the 83rd minute. The match would end with ugly scenes as both benches cleared in what was described as an all out brawl near the Somerset Trojans bench that saw players and fans exchange punches.

Premier: Boulevard Blazers 3 Dandy Town Hornets 2

At the Police Field, Ian Coke gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 5th minute, only to have Angelo Simmons equalize for the Dandy Town Hornets five minutes later, Jahmel Swan would then give the Dandy Town Hornets a 2 – 1, Coke would equalize for the Boulevard Blazers when he scored from the penalty spot in the 84th minute, he would then score the winner in the 90th minute converting from the penalty spot again.

Premier: Flanagan’s Onions 0 North Village Rams 1

Shayne Hollis scored in the 65th minute to earn the North Village Rams a 1 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions at the BAA Field.
