Video: Bermuda’s Youth AC Team Highlighted
This week’s ‘Minute with Mikaela’ highlights Bermuda’s team for the Youth America’s Cup, saying, “TeamBDA is Bermuda’s entry into the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup, which was develop to provide a pathway for youth sailors to get into the America’s Cup.
“They are the home team and they will be competing against some of the best youth sailors in the world.
“It’s historic because this is the first time Bermuda has enter the team to the competition, and also this is the first time black sailors have been in the regatta.”
“Here are the sailors who will be on the boat: Skipper Tachtecian Mackenzie Cooper, Helmsman Dimitri Stevens, Wing Streamer Owen Siese, Wing Grinder Mustafa Ingham, Jib Trimmer Peter Dill, Bowman Philip Hagen.
“TeamBDA needs all of Bermuda’s support during the regatta. There are few ways to rally behind TeamBDA. You can watch them the land in the America’s Cup Village including grandstand or the Dark & Stormy Island Bar or book a ticket on spectator boat leaving All Boys Point in Hamilton at 4:30pm on both days returning at 7:30pm and support our home team by wearing TeamBDA gear available AC Outlet in Dockyard and Island Tour Center Island All Boys Point in Hamilton.”
