Somerset Retain Colts Cup Match Trophy
In advance of the much anticipated Cup Match Classic later this week, the teams met up for the ‘Colts Cup Match’, with Somerset retaining the trophy.
St. George’s Cricket Club batted first and scored 257/6, before declaring. Dean Simons was the top scorer with 64 not out, while Jabari Darrell added 50, Isaiah Richardson was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 6-2-32-2.
In reply the Somerset Cricket Club scored 228/1, with Alex Dore scoring 102 not out, while Jade Morrissey added 80 not out, the only successful bowler for St. George’s was Nzari Paynter with figures of 9-1-49-1.
