Furniture Walk Mountain Bike Race Results
The first race of the 2017-2018 Furniture Walk Mountain Bike Race Series presented by Gubinelli Mendoza, Arch Insurance & Becks Beer was held on Sunday [Nov 12].
A spokesperson said “What a perfect start to the 2017-2018 Furniture Walk Mountain Bike Race Series presented by Gubinelli Mendoza, Arch Insurance & Becks Beer.
“Using a new track design the participants were offered multiple line choices going down as well as multiple line choices going up. The once fast direct route to the top gave way to a slower more technical climbs, the effect this had on the race tempo was a little slower and also meant the track was a little longer.
- “A” Division: winner was Adam Kirk followed by Josh Hobbs in 2nd
- “Veteran” Division: winner was Hans Hirsch followed in 2nd place by Manuel Lonfat with Andrew Hern taking 3rd
- “B” Division: winner was Nicholas Narraway followed in 2nd place by Alan Potts and Charles Swart in 3rd
- “Female B” Division: winner was Sarah Bonnet in 2nd place was Ashley Robinson and rounding up the 3rd spot was Earlena Ingham
- “Male Novice” Division: winner was Otis Ingham just ahead of Cesar Oliveira in 2nd and Dirk Hasselkuss took 3rd
- “Female Novice” Division: winner was Nicole Mitchell 2nd Caitlin Connyers and 3rd place Eileen Mullowney
- “13-15” Division: winner Alex Southern 2nd Manning Smith 3rd Shawn Bremar
- “Male 12 & under” Division: winner Rory Fleming 2nd Gordan Smith and 3rd onah Trott
- “Female 12 & under” Division: winner Zoe Hasselkuss followed closely by Jasmin Hasselkuss in 2nd and Charlotte Millington taking 3rd place
