BCB Revise Cut-Off Date For National Players
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] confirmed that the cut-off date for selected national squad players has been revised to February 12th for the upcoming tour to Argentina. The date applicable for the ICC WCL 4 competition in Malaysia will be April 2nd.
The BCB said the revision was made at the BCB Executive meeting on January 31st following an recommendation from the High Performance Committee and consultation with the national coaching staff.
BCB President, Lloyd Smith, said: “This is an important matter for many people, and was given careful consideration by the Executive last night. The High Performance Chairman and National Coach presented a well-constructed proposal which was accepted by the Executive.
“I also made time to consult with the players to hear their views. We have 2 important competitions that we are looking for promotion in, so I am pleased that this process has been clarified, and therefore removed any distractions from our players performing at their best.”
