Video: Sunday March 25th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Clarien donated $91,000 to charities, Bermuda’s shipwrecks were featured on PBS’s recurring News Hour programme, Bermudian Gina May Thompson was featured in QMagazine, and JayLynn Hines won the Quest song contest were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, a Bermuda photo by American social influencer Karen Civil earned 24,000 ‘likes’ in 16 hours, President of Footy Promotions Vinzie Zuill is now an FA registered intermediary agent, and a CedarBridge Academy programme is helping to build functional skills.
Other good news stories included Bermudian tennis player Tyler Smith helping to guide Jackson State to victory against Prairie View A&M, Jonte Smith scoring twice in a Lewes victory, and Argus donating water stations to four schools.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the ‘Walk Together” event examining history, the Bermuda International Film Festival’s opening party, the Pirates of Bermuda taking ‘hostages’ for charity, and the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser at Docksiders.
In an effort to highlight some of positive news happening in our community, we supplement our standard morning and evening email newsletters with a special Sunday “Good News” email newsletter edition, and also produce a highlight video and article which strictly focuses on the positive news about Bermuda and Bermudians from the past week.
