Court: 31-Year-Old Woman Fined For Assault
A woman has been fined $1500 for punching and biting another woman at a Mother’s Day Party.
Magistrates’ Court heard that Diante Trimm had earlier been escorted off the premises after getting into an altercation with the victim’s friend in the early hours of May 14 at the National Stadium.
Trimm, 31, of Pembroke then returned to the party and charged at the victim knocking her to the floor where she bit and scratched her.
This morning at court Trimm pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
She told the court: “I did not just attack her for nothing.”
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo asked Trimm whether she liked to fight.
She replied: “No, but I do defend myself.”
