Update: Hamilton Health Centre Remains Closed
The Hamilton Health Centre on Victoria Street will remain closed for the rest of this week while repairs continue.
A spokesperson said, “The Hamilton Health Centre on Victoria Street will remain closed for the rest of this week while urgent building repairs are carried out.
“The following services has been temporarily relocated:
- “The Communicable Disease Clinic will be at the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre, St. David’s. Opening hours are 8:30am – 2:00pm starting on Wednesday, 3 October. For appointments and information call 332 8942 or 278 4900.
- “The Clinical Laboratory Services will be at the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Center, St. David’s. Opening hours are 8:30 – 2:00pm, starting on Wednesday, 3 October. Minimal clinic services are available by appointment only.
- “Maternal Health Services will operate from 63 Victoria Street [the yellow building next to the Clinic] from Tuesday, 2 October, with limited services for antenatals and family planning clients. Opening hours will be 9:00am – 4:00pm. Antenatal services will be available on Friday, 5 October, from 9:00am – 11:00am. For more information call 332 8895 or 278 4900. Clients may park at the Department of Health parking lot.
- “Adult Immunization will operate from St. Paul AME Church, Centennial Hall, Court Street, Hamilton from 10:00am – 12noon on Tuesday, 2 October, and Thursday, 4 October, for limited immunization services, available by appointment only. For Child Health, children will be seen on the mornings of Wednesday, 3 October and Friday, 5 October. For more information or to make an appointment, call 332 8917.
“Community Health home-based services will operate as normal. Call 332 8887 for assistance. Outside of the stated operating times, clients are asked to contact their physician. For emergencies only, clients are urged to go to the KEMH Emergency Department.
“An update will be provided later this week giving more information about when normal services will resume at the Victoria Street premises. The Department of Health apologizes to the public for the inconvenience while the repairs take place.”
The priority for the PLP is Taking care of Dr EB while the services for the locals become worthless.
