Video: Sunday June 16th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
The Bermuda football team set to make their debut in the Gold Cup tonight, Disney confirming that the ‘Disney Magic cruise ship will visit Bermuda again in 2020, local artists being featured in Government Buildings, Collie Buddz rising to the top of the Billboard Chart, and five nurses completing an asthma diploma course were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Mazhi Simmons was awarded Notts County FC Official Supporters Association recognition trophy, local gymnasts are competing in the Caribbean Gymnastics Championships in Trinidad, the Bermuda tennis team is competing in Davis Cup, the Bermuda Equestrian held their awards presentation, and equestrian Jillian Terceira won her class in Belgium.
Other good news stories included the CedarBridge & Ocean View Golf Course graduation, Aleston Armstrong Jr & Seon Tatem being awarded the Walter S. Saul Youth Exchange Bursary, CNN highlighting Bermudian Rodney Smith Jr charitable work, and the Bermuda Captive Conference donating to BBBS.
