Jamie Rego & Bradley Houlston Joins Appleby
Appleby Bermuda has welcomed Jamie Rego and Bradley Houlston to its Corporate department and Employment & Immigration team within the Dispute Resolution department.
Mr. Rego re-joined the firm in September 2019 having returned from working with a prominent Australian law firm.

Mr. Rego is an Associate within the Corporate department in Bermuda. He specialises in banking and asset finance and has experience in a broad range of corporate finance and banking and asset finance-related matters, including advising both local and international clients in respect of corporate restructuring, aviation finance and leasing [including the registration of aircraft on the Bermuda Aircraft Register], vessel finance/registration and general corporate finance.
His practice extends to general corporate law and has advised clients on various corporate transactions, including but not limited to, capital raising, securitisation, mergers, amalgamations and [dis]continuations from and into Bermuda and corporate governance. Mr. Rego is Bermudian and completed his pupillage with Appleby in 2010.

Mr. Houlston is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department and leads the employment and immigration practice in Bermuda. Prior to joining Appleby, Mr. Houlston worked in the Labor & Employment team of a highly-regarded international law firm for more than eight years.
Mr. Houlston advises on all aspects of employment and HR issues, including drafting and negotiating employment documentation, defending complex and high-profile litigation and enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants. He also advises on internal investigations, frequently overlapping with regulatory matters. He has extensive experience advising clients in the financial services sector and has also advised clients in retail, manufacturing and natural resources.
Mr. Houlston regularly presents seminars and bespoke training sessions to in-house lawyers, HR professionals and managers. In addition, Mr. Houlston has written on employment law and HR issues for a number of publications in the UK, including the Employment Law Journal and People Management. Mr. Houlston is currently listed as a ‘Rising Star’ by the Legal 500 in the UK. He is a member of the UK Employment Lawyers Association.
