Police Acquire Cadaver Dog To Help In Search
The police have acquired a cadaver dog, with ‘Falco’ – a Belgian Malinois — arriving on island last Thursday and being put into service shortly thereafter.
A police spokesperson said, “In its continued effort to locate missing mother, Chavelle Dillon-Burgess, the Bermuda Police Service [BPS] has acquired a cadaver dog, to assist with the ongoing investigation into her disappearance back in April of this year.
“This new addition to the BPS, a Belgian Malinois [Ma-lin-wah], whose name is Falco arrived on island last Thursday and was put into service shortly thereafter.
“While Falco is trained as a Cadaver dog, he will serve as a multi-function resource for the BPS.
“Investigators have searched a number of different locations since the arrival of the cadaver dog, but so far, without success.
“However, we remain resolute in our efforts to bring closure to the family of Ms. Dillon-Burgess and continue to appeal for the public’s assistance in that regard.
