Burst Water Main, South Rd Temporarily Closes
[Updated] A portion of South Road in Paget was temporarily closed early this morning [Aug 23] due to a burst water main.
A police spokesperson said, “South Road, between White Sands Road and the Paget stop lights, is now closed to vehicular traffic due to a burst water main, causing damage to a portion of the roadway in that area rendering it unsafe to vehicular traffic.
“The Department of Public Works is currently at the scene and repair work is expected to begin as soon as conditions allow this morning. All traffic is currently being diverted on to Harbour Road.”
Update 8.02am: The police have confirmed that the roadway has now been reopened.
