[Updated with photos] Somerset Bridge, Somerset Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers, and St. David’s Cricket Club all recorded victories in this weekend’s First and Premier Division cricket action while the match between Cleveland County and Western Stars was abandoned due to an off-field incident involving two Cleveland players.

First Division

Somerset Bridge Won by 3 Wickets: Bermuda Under 19 Team 152/8 Somerset Bridge 153/7

In the opening match at the Somerset Cricket Club, the Somerset Bridge defeated the Bermuda Under 19 team by 3 wickets.

Batting first the Bermuda Under 19 team scored 152/8, Dominic Sabir was the top scorer with 75 which came off 48 deliveries, he hit 6 fours and 6 sixes, Joshua Gilbert was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 4-0-15-4.

In reply, Somerset Bridge were sitting in a good position at 70/1 with 12 overs to play, but they soon found themselves at 90/5 with 7 overs to play, in their chase of the Bermuda Under 19 team target of 152, Somerset Bridge was assisted by the Bermuda Under 19 team being penalized 6 penalty runs for bowling a slow over rate. Match Abandoned: Cleveland County 113/7 Western Stars 72/2

This match came to a halt when an incident off the field involving two Cleveland players resulted in on player returning to the field and knocking over the stumps, with the umpires deciding to abandon the match.

Cleveland County batted first and scored 113/7 in their allotted 20 overs, Dennis Musson Jr was the top scorer with 21 not out, while Makai Young was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers returning figures of 2-0-14-2.

In reply Western Stars reached 72/2, when an off-field incident saw players leave the field of play and when they returned the incident involving the stumps happened, Jaden Manders was at the wicket on 34 not out when the match was halted, Kevin Singh was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 2-0-9-1.

Premier Division

Somerset Cricket Club Won by 46 Runs: Somerset Cricket Club 209/6 Bailey’s Bay 163/3

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the home team batted first and picked up a 46 run victory over visiting Bailey’s Bay.

Southampton Rangers Won by 7 Wickets: Willow Cuts 106/9 Southampton Rangers 109/3

At the White Hill Field, Southampton Rangers defeated Willow Cuts by 7 wickets.
