BELCO Retirees Join Restoration Effort
Following Hurricane Paulette, BELCO retirees have joined the restoration effort, bringing their wealth of knowledge and experience to help lighten the load.
Just over 25,000 people lost power in the hurricane — about 70% of the island – and the BELCO crews quickly started to restore power, and as of this writing, there are around 2,000 customers remaining without power.
BELCO posted the photos online below, and said, “We welcomed back some familiar faces! Some of our retirees have joined the restoration effort, bringing their wealth of knowledge and experience to help lighten the load.”
