Large Group Exemption: Select Sites Group Event

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Select Sites Group Event is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Friday October 2, 2020 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club, 76 Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

• All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.

• Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 110.

• Organiser to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.

• Wearing of masks required when moving about the venue.

• The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.

• The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Anointed Steps Dance Ministry School Workshop is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Sunday October 4, 2020 between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Willowbank Resort and Conference Centre, 126 Somerset Road, Sandy’s Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

• All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.

• Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 150.

• Organizer to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.

• Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.

• The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.

• The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.

Pursuant to Part II of the Clean Air Rules 1993, application has been made to the Environmental Authority for a permit to construct a controlled plant as follows:

Description Of Proposed Controlled Plant

One 38 kW LPG-fired generator with a silencer to provide interim electrical supply during power outages.

This application is available for inspection at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources during normal working hours. Any person wishing to object to the proposed plant may, within 14 days of the date of this publication, lodge their objection with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, 169 South Road, Paget DV 04. Letters of objection must state the name and address of the objector; the grounds of the objection; whether the objector has an interest in land near to that which the application relates; and be signed by the objector.
