News that the Run to Read initiative raised $32,500, Athene donated 200 laptops to Bermuda’s public school system, the Brian Wellman Runway was named at the NSC, and Tyler Butterfield finished second in the Ironman 70.3 Cozumel were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, the First Devonshire Brownies took an historical field trip, the Ministry of Education announced the recipients of the 2020 Bermuda Government scholarships and awards, Walkers welcomed Ashley Fubler and Izabella Arnold, Fresh Breath Dental showed staff appreciation, and Bermuda entrepreneurs were highlighted by MarketPlace’s Entrepreneur Spotlight series.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the top 10 Bernews Photos of the Day for September, the BNAA cross country season opener, the Johnnie Walker Classic getting underway, and Bermuda Gold Point archery action.
In an effort to highlight some of positive news happening in our community, we supplement our standard morning and evening email newsletters with a special Sunday “Good News” email newsletter edition, and also produce a highlight video and article which strictly focuses on the positive news about Bermuda and Bermudians from the past week.
