Ball Hockey: Appleby, Outback & Frontier Win
The Bermuda Ball Hockey League season resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink with a triple-header that produced 20 goals in total.
Spine And Sport 1 Appleby 4
In the opener Appleby defeated Spine and Sport 4 – 1. Ross Rufiange would lead Appleby to victory with two goals, Jeff Morash and Curran Trenouth added a goal each, while Andrew Boner scored the lone goal for Spine and Sport.
Positive Image Dental 4 Outback 6
Ten goals were scored in the second match of the evening as Outback defeated Positive Image Dental 6 – 4.
JM Tremblay scored a hat-trick to lead Outback to victory, while Matthew Benson added two goals and Cam Poland scored the other. Marcel Bouwens scored twice for Positive Image Dental, with Adam Mattatall and Jacob Notermann adding a goal each.
Frontier 3 BDA Spirits 2
This final match of the night was decided on a shootout goal which came off the stick of Frontier’s Chris Grantier as they defeated BDA Spirits 3 – 2.
Frontier got single strikes in regulation time from Jeremy Estey and Christopher Merritt, while Christopher Jackson scored the two goals for BDA Spirits.
