Video: Sunday Dec 27th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
Bermuda celebrating Christmas, Butterfield employees donating holiday hampers to the Women’s Resource Centre and over $8,000 to Meals on Wheels, Deloitte donating $40,000 of items to families, and the Green family donating 30 new laptops to Whitney Institute Middle School were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, staff at the Little Venice, L’Oriental and L’Oriental Express restaurants donated meals, Wilton Re donated $12,000 to community charities, Liberty Specialty Markets donated $30,000 and MarketPlace delivered meals to BCL staff.
Other good news stories included Appleby donating to Bermuda STAR families, Zurich Bermuda earning a Gold Designation, cassava pie being mentioned on Kentucky Television, Graywolf press to publish Dr Wong’s book and Peter Nash, Sharon Muhammad and Wendell “Shine” Hayward winning awards.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Somers Garden Christmas Wonderland and Christmas decorations across the island.
