Carifta Swimming Day 3 Preliminary Results
Bermuda swimmers continued competing on the third day of the 2022 Carifta Swimming Championships in Barbados, and the preliminary results from the morning session are below, with multiple swimmers set to appear in the finals later today.
During the 11-12 girls 200 meter individual medley Violet Smith finished 9th clocking 2:55.76, Myeisha Sharrieff advanced to the 15-17 girls 200 meter individual medley final when she clocked the 6th fastest qualifying time of 2:38.10.
Sam Williamson finished 3rd in the 15-17 boys 200 meter individual medley clocking a time of 2:13.03, Elijah Daley will also compete in the final after finishing 7th clocking 2:17.51.
Bella Howes will take her spot in the 15-17 girls 50 meter breaststroke final after finishing 7th with a time of 36.13, Williamson will also compete in the 15-17 boys 50 meter breaststroke final after finishing 3rd with a time of 30.43.
During the 11-12 girls 100 meter freestyle Arabella Newport Derbyshire finished 8th clocking 1:08.49, while Smith finished 13th clocking 1:10.74.
Marleigh Howes clocked the fastest time of 1:00.43 during the 13-14 girls 100 meter freestyle, Imojen Judd finished 9th clocking 1:03.06, while Bella Howes finished 5th in the 15-17 girls 100 meter freestyle, with Sharrieff clocking 1:03.82 finishing 12th.
Finn Moseley advanced to the 15-17 boys 100 meter freestyle final after finishing 7th clocking 54.03, while Flynn Watson-Brown finished 9th clocking 55.01.
Elijah Daley will compete in the 15-17 boys 200 meter butterfly final after finishing 5th with a time of 2:13.90, Brandon Adkins will also be in the final after finishing 8th clocking 2:19.21.
