Two Arrested In Connection With Murder
The police have named the victim of the fatal stabbing this weekend as Marcus Wilson, and confirmed that two people have been “taken into police custody and are currently detained.”
The police previously said, “Shortly after 8pm on Saturday 20th of August, Police received a report of a disturbance at an Astwood Walk, Warwick Residence. Two men were reported to have been stabbed after being involved in an altercation with several other men. The injured men were transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. However, one of the men has succumbed to his injuries and the other remains hospitalized.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Detective Inspector Jason Smith confirmed that the other man injured in the incident, a 38-year-old man, underwent surgery and is now recovering in hospital.
“We know from our inquiries that there were a total of four persons involved in the assault on the 38-year-old male and were responsible for the murder of Marcus Wilson,” Detective Inspector Smith said.
