13 Goals Scored In Dudley Eve Football Action
Fans were treated to a 13 goal night at the BAA Field as the Dudley Eve Cup competition moved into the knock-out stage.
St. George’s Colts 3 - Somerset Trojans 4
In the opener, the Somerset Trojans came from behind to defeat the St. George’s Colts 4 – 3.
Jaire Shields gave the Somerset Trojans the lead in the 8th minute, when he bundled a cross over the line, the St. George’s Colts were level in the 11th minute when Sage Paynter scored from close range.
A good through ball saw Lashun Dill beat the advancing Somerset Trojans goalkeeper Jade Morrissey to the ball and score into an empty net to give the St. George’s Colts a 2 – 1 lead in the 34th minute, but three minutes later the scores were level as the Somerset Trojans were awarded a penalty after a handball in the box and Justin Corday converted it, however on the stroke of half time, Kashe Hall gave the St. George’s Colts the lead when he converted from the spot after a foul in the box.
The Somerset Trojans drew level in the 68th minute when Nathan Rego scored, and then in the 83rd minute the Somerset Trojans would take the lead and it proved to be the winner, with Jeze Butterfield finding the back of the net.
Robin Hood 2 – Boulevard Blazers 4
In the nightcap, the Boulevard Blazers took the lead in the 6th minute through an own goal, and the Boulevard Blazers lead was doubled in the 31st minute when Kamali Davos scored.
Jahzardae Samuels made it 3 – 0 to the Boulevard Blazers in the 57th minute, Tajai Goater pulled a goal back for the Boulevard Blazers in the 80th minute, only to have Enyche Zuill restore the Boulevard Blazers three goal lead in the 83rd minute, but Shannon Burchall would pull a goal back for Robin Hood when he found the back of the net in the 89th minute as the match ended 4 – 2 in the Boulevard Blazers favor.
