BWS Issue Watch, Say Hurricane Is ‘Threat’
[Updated: BWS issue Tropical Storm Watch, now say Earl is a 'threat to Bermuda]
Tropical Storm Earl is a “threat to Bermuda” the Bermuda Weather Service said at 6pm today [Sept 6] with the BWS issuing a Tropical Storm Watch.
In their latest update this evening, the BWS said the “closest point of approach to Bermuda within 72 hrs [3 days] is forecast to be 100 nm to the SE, 11 pm Thu, Sep 8, 2022. However, this system may move closer to Bermuda after this time period depending upon its track.”

Update 9.20pm: Earl has strengthened and is now a hurricane, the second hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic season.
