PHC’s Black And White Week Finale Cancelled
Pembroke Hamilton Club [PHC] announced that due to the arrival of Hurricane Fiona, the finale event of Black and White spirit week on Friday [Sept 23] has been cancelled.
A spokesperson said, “Earlier this week, Pembroke Hamilton Club [PHC] announced a Black and White spirit week leading up to the Club’s first game back under the lights at Stadium Lane [PHC Field], located in Warwick, in over 20 years. Unfortunately, due to the arrival of Hurricane Fiona, the finale event on Friday, September 23 has been cancelled.
“Black and White week kicked off on Monday, September 19 with Membership Monday which focused on growing the PHC community through official club membership. Tuesday, September 20 was Trivia Tuesday which gave participants a chance to win a prize through the Club’s digital platforms [Twitter and Instagram: PHC_Zebras; Facebook: ZebrasPHC]. Wednesday was ‘Wear Your Stripes Wednesday’, which encouraged the community to wear black and white or zebra print, followed by today, Throwback Thursday, featuring historic photos shared on the Club’s digital platforms.
“The Bermuda Football Association released the 2022/23 football schedule this week announcing night games that will come to PHC field in the coming weeks.”
“It is unfortunate that we are unable to host the kick-off event that was planned but we still encourage the entire community to come out and support our upcoming games,” said Michael Trott, PHC Club President.
“When we play the first game under the lights it will be a community event as we are excited to have night games back at Stadium Lane. In the meantime, stay safe Bermuda.”
